“This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it” (Psalm 118:24)

I often recite this verse before we start our worship time. This one verse packs alot into it. First we remember that each day is created by God and given to us as agift. With this realization we are called to worship God with glad and thankfulhearts. And not just on Sunday, but each and every day.I think considering this verse from Psalm 118 is also a good way to stay focused oneach day. If we can start our morning by remembering what a gift we awaken to, itcan help us live each day as God would have us.It is important to stay in the now with an eye toward the future. I hope Psalm118:24 can help you to do just that. But this is also a time of the year to look back over the previous 12 months at St.Mark’s. Doing so allows us to again thank God for all that God has done in andthrough the ministries here. Space does not allow me to write everything we’ve been a part of, but here are afew highlights. Sunday School kept the youngsters engaged through the school year Sack Lunch, laundry ministry and community dinners continued to thrive Josh and the choir continued to provide worship through the summer The tech team led by Pastor Paul continues to grow and excel Bluebird Music and You spent the year using our building Tuesday morning bible study continues to have 10-14 participants The Shepherds ministry continues to provide care for the congregation St. Mark’s continues to collect and donate goods to the B’Ville food pantryThe list goes on and on! Please know that each and everything you do at St. Mark’sfor the sake of the gospel is deeply appreciated by me. The love, care andunderstanding extended to me and my family is one of the greatest blessings inmy life. Let’s continue to seek and lean on God for direction and encouragement as we prepare for the new year. I pray that it blesses you richly.

Be blessed and be a blessing,

Pastor Chuck
