Council Corner: November 2025

We heard some very good news around the Council table in October when our Outreach ministry reported that St. Mark’s had been approved for an $8800 grant from CNY Community Foundation.

This is a wonderful blessing for our congregation and the neighbors we serve. One of those “new things” God has done for us.

We also heard what a fun time our Family Fun Night was for young and old. We look forward to a salute to our Veterans on November 12th with the Bville Community Band. Plan to join this fellowship event.

We’re thankful for those of you who said, “Yes,” when asked to become a member of council and to those who made the commitment to be a Synod representative for 2026.

However, the majority of our time was spent analyzing and discussing the proposed budget for 2026. After some minor changes members voted unanimously to send this proposed budget to the congregation for consideration at our annual meeting.

Speaking of our annual meeting, be sure to mark your calendars for November 23rd. Please be on the lookout for an email with pertinent documents some time during the week of November 10th. It’s been a very good year at St. Mark’s so please plan to come hear the stories of all that God is doing here with us.
