Council Corner: July 2024

June was a busy month for Council members! There’s been a lot of business taking place.

Our updated Constitution was reviewed by a member of our Synod Constitution Committee and there were only a few revisions required. These are being taken care of and a final document will be submitted for final approval. It is our intention to bring this to a vote for approval at our annual meeting in November.

Our Audit committee has begun their work to bring us into compliance with the necessary check of our financial documents.

The HVAC upgrades are progressing quickly. Phase 1 and 2 have been completed and paid for; Phase 3 will start in early July.

We’ve hired a new office manager and a new music director. Stop in and introduce yourself to Connie when you’re in the building. Josh starts playing for worship on July 21.

Lea Ann Quimby is currently spearheading our Faith Formation programs. Please check with her to see what you can do to help further the spiritual journey of our youth members.

Council is taking a break from a formal meeting in July so don’t look for us on the third Wednesday of the month. If you have any immediate needs please feel free to contact me.
