Pastor Chuck’s Corner: September 2026

Let us not give up meeting together… (Hebrews 10:25a)

Once again, in the blink of an eye, the summer season has rushed on by. I hope

that you all were able to enjoy some time with family and friends over these past

few months.

As you read this, we will be moving directly into the Fall schedule here at St.

Mark’s. Faith Formation will begin again, as will adult small group study, choir,

etc.

Of course our foundational ministries such as laundry, sack lunch and community

dinner will remain active and growing.

The point is that St. Mark’s is a wonderfully busy and active place where God’s

love for all is readily shown by the kindness of the folks who call this your church

home.

It is a blessing to see the joy of the Lord so readily present in all the ministry

activities here. The compassionate care for our community and larger world are a

part of our DNA.

That being said, as we embark into another full season of work, I want to

encourage us all to remember to take some time to simply relax. Thanks to the

work of our Fellowship committee, there will be numerous opportunities to do so.

Coming up in September will be a Family Fun Night that will include Karaoke,

Trivia and crafts for the younger set. Coffee and Conversation will also be making

a comeback.

October plans include an evening dinner night out and in November the

Baldwinsville Community Band will present a Tribute to Veterans Concert at St.

Mark’s.

These things, and the others that will be available, offer us the opportunity to

simply be with each other with no agenda or list of things to accomplish.

A healthy church not only works hard together, it also makes the time to enjoy

one another’s company in relaxing settings. I hope to see you at these events.

You are blessed to be a blessing,

Pastor Chuck
