Pastor Chuck’s Corner: October 2025
“Jesus said, “I have come that they may life, and have it to the full.” (John 10:10)
Please read again what Jesus is quoted as having said. As you do, please ask
yourself, “how full has Jesus made my life?”
Your answer to that question will depend partially on what you consider that fullness means to you. I hope for everyone reading this that you have experienced a life of faith in the Lord that continues to bring a deep satisfaction to your heart. Riches of this kind cannot be quantified in any way.
There are, of course, other types of riches I would now like to talk with you about as St. Mark’s enters into the process of formulating a budget for 2026. To start, allow me to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the financial support so many have given for so long to allow the ministries of this church to continue to carry on with God’s work.
As you prayerfully consider your financial pledge to St. Mark’s for the upcoming year, please bear in mind the fullness that Jesus has brought into your life. If you are like me, you will see the abundance God has already provided. I would also guess that the deepest of those blessings do not have a price tag attached.
That’s because the blessings of God cannot be purchased or otherwise obtained. The gift of the Lord’s love, the fellowship of a wonderful church and the opportunities we share to minister together have no out of pocket expense attached to us personally.
Of course, we know all too well that there are costs involved in maintaining the gift that St. Mark’s is. This year, as you consider what you will pledge to this church, I only ask that you do so by looking through the lens of all the blessings God has given you.
I pray that your giving will reflect that you do acknowledge that Jesus’ promise to give us life to the full has been and is being realized in your life.
Be blessed and be a blessing,
Pastor Chuck
