The 8:00 worship service is a Contemporary service. The music is primarily played on the piano and there is a violin accompaniment. The service utilizes the liturgy; the historic pattern of Lutheran worship (Gathering, Word, Meal, and Sending).
St. Mark's celebrates Holy Communion at all services with rare exception. Children who have not yet communed come forward to receive a blessing. St. Mark's warmly welcomes children at worship and encourages parents to help children develop the practice of regular participation.
In the church's worship children learn the hymns of faith and to pray; they become familair with the stories of sacred Scripture, and are nourished in a Holy Communion.
